    Getting Around the City

Getting around Mérida is easy and safe when using official transportation. Here are the most recommended options:

    Uber

Available throughout much of the city. It’s a convenient and safe option with clear fares displayed in the app.

    Authorized Taxis

You can find them in tourist areas, hotels, and taxi stands. Make sure to:

Use only taxis properly identified as official.
Ask about and agree on the fare before getting in.
Avoid hailing unofficial taxis on the street, especially if they don’t have a visible meter or identification.

    Event Day Transportation

    More details coming soon.

    Weather

In February, Mérida experiences warm and pleasant weather, with temperatures ranging from 18°C (64°F) at night to 30°C (86°F) during the day. Days are usually sunny and perfect for exploring the city and surrounding areas, while nights are cool and comfortable.

We recommend bringing light clothing for the daytime, a light sweater for the evening, and a swimsuit if you plan to visit cenotes or the beach. Don’t forget sun protection like sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, and insect repellent.
